Jacob Lepard was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN, where he developed an interest in international medicine during trips taken in high school and undergrad to Brazil and Guatemala. He graduated from Lee University with a major in Biochemistry and minor in Philosophy and attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He completed his neurosurgical training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, during which time he participated in an enfolded fellowship in global neurosurgical research and education through the Harvard Program for Global Surgery and Social Change. He is currently a pediatric neurosurgery fellow at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. He and his wife Morgan have two daughters and son – Madison, Emery, and Christian. In his free time Jacob enjoys trail running and reading historical fiction.
