Neurosurgery Resident at The University of Alabama at Birmingham
Jacob Lepard was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN, where he developed an interest in international medicine during trips taken in high school and undergrad to Brazil and Guatemala. He graduated from Lee University with a major in Biochemistry and minor in Philosophy and attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He is currently completing his neurosurgical training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, during which time he participated in an enfolded fellowship in global neurosurgical research and education through the Harvard Program for Global Surgery and Social Change. He plans to pursue a pediatrics fellowship following residency with a continued emphasis in international neurosurgical development and education. He and his wife Morgan have two daughters and son – Madison, Emery, and Christian. In his free time Jacob enjoys trail running and reading historical fiction.
